Ivanplats (Pty) Ltd is issuing this Request for Expressions of Interest to attract interested suppliers from the Mokopane Community to participate in the tendering process as the main Contractor on the following package:

This expression of interest covers both Peristaltic pumps and Helical Rotor pumps. The contractor shall express interest for either one or both packages as stated above. The vendor is required to specify which packages has been exclude in the event of a single package submission.

1. General Description of the Works
   1. PERISTALTIC PUMPS

The Scope of Works is for the design, supply, delivery to site and commissioning assistance of the Peristaltic Pumps required for the Platreef.

• Design, engineering, manufacturing and corrosion protection of the Peristaltic Pumps and ancillary equipment which generally consist of the following:

• Complete pump with baseplate.
• Electric Motor, WEG 525V
• Certified lifting lugs and eye bolts required for installation and maintenance (SWL to be hard stamped).
• Mating Flanges (All flanges shall be according to SANS 1123)
• Guarding of all rotating parts.
• First fill lubrication.
• Pulsation damper (where applicable).
• Integral pressure relief (where applicable).
• Contractor to supply loose Suction and discharge mating flanges, gaskets and bolt sets
• Pump and motor pulleys, taper locks, and v-belts (where applicable)
• Submission of sizing calculations with tender.

• Assembly of the Plant (including motor assembly) at the Contractor premises.
• Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and inspections of the Plant.
• Packaging and Delivery of the Goods to Site (DDP Intercoms 2020).
• Commissioning and testing as specified in the Scope of Works to ensure that the Works conform to the technical specifications and to the design and operating criteria.
• All aspects of project management including planning, quality management, safety management, and reporting.
• Operator and maintenance training prior to and during the installation and commissioning of the Plant and Materials.
• Contractor to provide a detailed priced spares list for all:
  • 2-year operational spares (As take-out price)

1. b) HELICAL ROTOR PUMPS

The Scope of Works is for the design, supply, delivery to site and commissioning assistance of the Helical Rotor Pumps required for the Platreef.

• Design, engineering, manufacturing and corrosion protection of the Helical Rotor Pumps and ancillary equipment which generally consist of the following:

• Complete pump with baseplate.
• Electric Motor, WEG 525V
• Certified lifting lugs and eye bolts required for installation and maintenance (SWL to be hard stamped).
• Mating Flanges (All flanges shall be according to SANS 1123)
• Guarding of all rotating parts.
• First fill lubrication.
• Pulsation damper (where applicable).

2. SCALE OR WORKS and TIME FRAME:

3. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

The following are minimum requirements for this contract scope of works:

• Proven process design with successful past project experience
• Good project execution track record based on similar projects executed.
• Must have a well-established safety management system.
• Must have a quality manage system that is based on the principles of ISO 9001. Detailed quality control plans for fabrication and construction works.
• Written confirmation that the Contractor is not under any liquidity or legal confinements that may affect the performance and deliverance of any contract.

4. RESPONDING TO THE EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

Information given by the prospective Contractors shall be treated in strict confidence.

Note, this Request for Expressions of Interest does not amount to any contractual obligation on the part of Ivanplats, and that Ivanplats is not obliged to invite Requests for Proposal or Tenders from any or all who express interest by responding to this Request for Expressions of Interest.

Ivanplats reserve the right to cancel, suspend or withdraw the Request for Expressions of Interest process at any time and will not be responsible for any costs incurred by potential Contractors. The prospective Contractor is responsible for all cost associated with preparation and submission of their Expression of Interest.

If any criteria within the Expression of Interest submission is determined to be non-compliant, the submission will not be processed. If, however, the Contractor declares its non-compliance and offers an alternative solution that is acceptable, this may be considered. Any information and/or documentation given and later found to be incorrect shall lead to disqualification of the prospective Contractor.

This document does not entail or imply any commitment on the part of Ivanplats, either financial or otherwise, nor shall it be considered a specific invitation to tender. This does not represent or constitute any obligation or commitment of Ivanplats to enter into any agreement with any entity or organisation.

Canvassing will lead to automatic disqualification of the prospective Contractor.

Late submission will not be acceptable. Any application(s) received after the closing date will be considered as late and disqualified.
