Ivanplats Proprietary Ltd is issuing this Request for Expressions of Interest to attract interested suppliers from the Tshamahansi Community to participate in the tendering process as a Contractor on the following package:

1. GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE WORKS

Re-gravelling of five roads (differing in length) within the residential area of Tshamahansi, namely:

• Makhulu Manzi Street 2750m
• Bangwanate Road in Matjeke 300m
• Road next to Ramatlaohle Sport Complex 510m
• Lindela Road 1 540m
• Lindela Road 2 300m

Main aspects of the Works include, but are not limited to, providing the following:

1.1 Scope of work

Clear, Level, rip and recompact insitu material layer;

Import fill material from borrow pit or commercial source (150mm layer thickness);

Level and compact the imported layer (150mm thickness);

Crate stormwater drainage.

3. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

The following are minimum requirements for the main Contractor position on this package:

• Business registration address within jurisdiction of Mogalakwena Local Municipality (preference will be given to Tshamahansi registered entities).
• CIDB registration and grading of 5CE
• Good project execution track record based on similar and/or construction related services previously rendered.
• Good track record based on compliance to the Occupational Health and Safety Act and safety achievements in similar contracts executed.
• Must have a well-established safety management system.
• Written confirmation that the Contractor is not under any liquidity or legal confinements that may affect the performance and deliverance of any contract.
• Must demonstrate that they have a proper understanding of resourcing similar related construction works.
• Must be able to develop a detailed, resource loaded, construction schedule.

4. RESPONDING TO THE EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

Information given by the prospective Contractors shall be treated in strict confidence.

Note: this Request for Expressions of Interest does not amount to any contractual obligation on the part of Ivanplats, and that Ivanplats is not obliged to invite Requests for Proposal or Tenders from any or all who express interest by responding to this Request for Expressions of Interest.

Ivanplats reserves the right to cancel, suspend or withdraw the Request for Expressions of Interest process at any time and will not be responsible for any costs incurred by potential Contractors. The prospective Contractor is responsible for all cost associated with preparation and submission of their Expression of Interest. If any criteria within the Expression of Interest submission is determined to be non-compliant, the submission will not be processed. If, however, the Contractor declares its non-compliance and offers an alternative solution that is acceptable, this may be considered. Any information and/or documentation given and later found to be incorrect shall lead to disqualification of the prospective Contractor.

This document does not entail or imply any commitment on the part of Ivanplats, either financial or otherwise, nor shall it be considered a specific invitation to tender. This does not represent or constitute any obligation or commitment of Ivanplats to enter into any agreement with any entity or organisation.

Canvassing will lead to automatic disqualification of the prospective Contractor.

Late submission will not be acceptable. Any application(s) received after the closing date will be considered as late and disqualified.
